We are incredibly lucky to be welcoming Chelsea Levine to Australian shores for the 2022 National Drumline Camp. This is the first time we have had a specialist Cymbal instructor at the camp and we can’t wait to work with Chelsea!
Chelsea is the founder and owner of Seavine, one of the most innovative and important cymbal focused companies in the activity. The sale of Seavine products is responsible for starting and funding The Cymbal Scholarship, an important program designed to assist DCI and WGI cymbal players with their membership fees and tuition.
In addition to her work with Seavine, Chelsea is widely regarded as one of the best cymbal educators in the world. She has had an extensive career as performer and educator in marching cymbals having performed with Rhythm X, Gateway Indoor, Jersey Surf Drum and Bugle Corps, and as Section Leader at the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps.
Chelsea joined the staff of Spirit of Atlanta in 2012, acting as the co-cymbal tech and aiding in the visual instruction for the battery percussion where she remained through the 2014 season. She entered the Independent Word teaching spectrum with Rhythm X in 2014 and has continued to teach at Rhythm X since.
In 2014 Chelsea was invited to Dadizele, Belgium to teach DrumSpirit, a 6 time Belgian Championship group and a 3 time WGI finalist group at World Championships in Dayton, OH.
Chelsea’s involvement in the National Drumline Camp is thanks in large part to the wonderful support of Sabian Cymbals, and we are hugely grateful to Mark and the team at Sabian for helping make this possible.
