Since its inception in 2012, the National Drumline Camp in Melbourne has been a residential camp to make it as accessible as possible for anyone from interstate who wished to travel to Melbourne to take part. Now that the event is running in 3 states around the country, we are moving to a non-residential format in 2024.
This change will allow us to make the Melbourne event significantly more affordable while also allowing our Instructor and organisation team to have a little bit more down time so that we can all teach at our absolute best at every day of the camp.
We have had very positive feedback about this change in discussions with both the National Drumline Camp committee and the D² Board as well as past camp attendees we have discussed this change with.
What is not going to change is our commitment to bringing the absolute best in drumline and marching percussion education to Australia in September / October each year.
