Front Ensemble in 2017

We are incredibly excited to announce that the National Drumline Camp will feature a front ensemble for the first time in 2017!

To celebrate the 5th year of this amazing event, we wanted to go ahead and do something a little different – something big that would help take the National Drumline Camp to the next level in 2017 and provide an exciting new opportunity for our camp attendees. The addition of a front ensemble component is just the ticket!

“The skills developed in the front ensemble are invaluable in helping get the absolute best out of the percussionists involved”

The National Drumline Camp has always been at the forefront of marching percussion education in Australia and we feel that the incorporation of front ensemble into the event is not only a huge step forward for the National Drumline Camp, but for marching percussion culture across Australia.

The front ensemble component will introduce Xylophone, Marimba, Vibraphone, Drumset, Auxillery Percussion and heaps more and will be lead by a team of experience instructors from across Australia.

“I’m incredibly excited about the addition of front ensemble to that National Drumline Camp as it is really the only opportunity to play this kind of music in Australia” says Harry Potocnik from the D²Drumline. “Front ensemble is such a big part of marching percussion culture overseas and the transfer value of studying percussion within the context of drumline is huge. The skills developed in the front ensemble are invaluable in helping get the absolute best out of the percussionists involved and I am honoured to be a member of the instructor team for this year’s event”

Registrations are now open for the 2017 National Drumline Camp at www.nationaldrumlinecamp.com. Front ensemble places are strictly limited and subject to availability.
